Ground turkey taco bowls are an easy weeknight dinner the whole family can build their own way. Seasoned turkey, black beans, and crisp romaine, finished with a squeeze of fresh lime.
Preparazione: 10 min · Cottura: 15 min
Porzioni: 4
Ingredienti
- 1 tablespoon olive, canola or vegetable oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground turkey (93% lean)
- 1 red bell pepper, seeded and diced
- 2-3 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 small head romaine lettuce, washed and chopped
- 1 16 ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 small tomatoes, diced
- 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
- 1 bag corn tortilla chips
- guacamole
- salsa
- sour cream
- hot sauce
Istruzioni
- 1. Heat the oil in a large sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 3 minutes.
- 2. Add the ground turkey and cook, letting it sear undisturbed for a minute before breaking it up with a wooden spoon, for 4 to 5 minutes, until browned.
- 3. Add the bell pepper, taco seasoning, and salt. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, until the turkey is cooked through (165°F). Stir in the cilantro and lime juice, then remove from the heat.
- 4. Divide the lettuce among bowls. Top with the turkey, black beans, cheese, tomatoes, and a handful of chips.
- 5. Finish with guacamole, salsa, sour cream, and/or hot sauce. Or set everything out in separate bowls and let everyone build their own.
Note
NotesStorage: The turkey filling keeps in the fridge for up to 4 days, so it’s an easy one to make ahead for quick bowls during the week.
